On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the
following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-
on-Hudson, New York:
Resolution 15-2022
WHEREAS, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson budgets for part-time park rangers
and school crossing guards in the Auxiliary Police Services account; and
WHEREAS, continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in park
rangers being assigned less work than budgeted; and
WHEREAS, two resignations by long-time school crossing guards permitted
replacements to be hired at lower hourly rates this year; and
WHEREAS, as a result, Chief of Police John Nikitopoulos has submitted a budget
transfer request in the amount of $17,798.92 from the aforementioned account to
purchase needed police equipment; and
WHEREAS, the reallocation of these funds at this time would help to keep the
2022-2023 budget within the tax cap parameters,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board hereby authorizes
the Village Treasurer to transfer $17,798.92 from A3189.1100 (Personnel Services
P/T) to the following account:
A3120.4000 – Police - Equipment:
$17,798.92
