On motion of TRUSTEE____________, seconded by TRUSTEE _______, the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York: Resolution #34-2019 WHEREAS, the Bicycle Pedestrian Committee has requested that the Village study ways to improve the safety at the intersection of Grand Street and Old Post Road South by obtaining a greater understanding of traffic patterns in the area; and WHEREAS, on October 30, 2018, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued to traffic consultant engineering firms; and WHEREAS, a total of 13 responses to the RFP were received by the due date of November 27, 2018; and WHEREAS, Frank Balbi, Superintendent of Public Works, reviewed the responses and narrowed down the choices to two firms; and WHEREAS, after meeting with both firms, the Village Manager and Superintendent of Public Works are recommending that the Village enter into an agreement with Provident Design Engineering of Hawthorne, New York, in the amount of $5,900, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Village Board authorizes the Village Manager to approve the proposal from Provident Design Engineering; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that funding for this traffic study is available in the following account: Traffic Control – Contractual: A3310.4000 Dated: March 4, 2019
