Shaw Village of Croton-on-Hudson Engineers Office 1 Van Wyck St. Attn: Mr. Ronald Wegner, P.E. Re: Redesign Redi-Rock Retaining Wall Existing Retaining Wall 25 and 33 Grand St. Croton-on-Hudson, NY (CSA Job #19-153) Dear Mr. Wegner: In accordance with your request, we are pleased to submit this proposal to redesign the Redi-Rock retaining wall for the above referenced site. The original design was completed in March 2020. We understand that the proposed retaining wall and sidewalk locations have changed. We have also been provided comments on the original drawing that you would like us to address. One such comment refers to using solid block units instead of hollow core, due to the limited availability of the latter. After reviewing our original Redi-Rock design drawings and taking into consideration your comments, we have determined that a redesign of the retaining wall will be necessary. The scope of work is to redesign the Redi-Rock wall plans with taking into consideration your comments and the new wall and sidewalk location. In order to complete this study, the following will be required. 1. Review our Redi-Rock retaining wall design drawings from March 2020. 2. Redesign the Redi-Rock retaining wall with the new wall and sidewalk location. 3. Determine the feasibility of using solid Redi-Rock block units in-lieu of Hollow Core units. 4. Provide three (3) printed copies and an electronic Portable Document Format (PDF) of the signed and sealed retaining wall drawing set upon completion. The cost of this study will be as follows: I. Redesign Redi-Rock Retaining Wall Estimate based on the unit rates below $3,000 The estimated total cost of this study will be $3,000. You will be billed after the completion of our final report. Payment is requested within 30 days. II. Additional Services (if required) Services of Robert B. Simpson, P.E. $195/hour Services of Staff Engineers $125/hour Services of Technicians and Draftsmen $95/hour Clerical Services $75/hour The signed and sealed Redi-Rock wall drawing set will be submitted about 3-4 weeks after receiving your authorization to proceed. We look forward to working with you on this project. If the terms of this proposal are satisfactory, please sign and return one copy of this proposal or issue a Purchase Order that refers to this project. CARLIN-SIMPSON & ASSOCIATES ROBERT B.
