Dear Sir/Madam,
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC or Department)
has reviewed the materials submitted for the above referenced application pursuant to
Article 24 of the Environmental Conservation Law (ECL). According to the information
provided, the proposed activity is located within the Village of Croton-on-Hudson
adopted Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan (LWRP) area.
The project consists of site improvements at an existing property of Van Cortlandt
Manor property located at 525 South Riverside Avenue in the Village of Croton-on-
Hudson, Westchester County.
In accordance with New York State regulations concerning state agency implementation
of the state coastal policy (19 NYCRR Part 600.4), and for projects which are subject to
the State Environmental Quality Review process, DEC is required to submit information
on the proposed action to the local government responsible for the LWRP and consider
the proposal’s consistency with the LWRP. Please consider this correspondence such
submittal. The Department requests that the Village confirm in writing that the proposed
project is consistent with the adopted LWRP. If we do not receive a response within
fifteen (15) days, DEC will proceed under the assumption it is consistent with the
adopted LWRP.
