To: From: Date: November 18, 2022 Re: Police Officer Appointment On the Board’s agenda for consideration this evening is the provisional appointment of Mark Frascello to the position of Police Officer. This appointment is contingent upon his transfer approval from Westchester County and passing a medical exam from our physician. You may recall that during the 2022-2023 budget process, the Board decided to fund a vacant police officer position for part of this current fiscal year. The second half of the fiscal year begins December 1, 2022. Appointing Mr. Frascello will bring the police department up to its constituted 21-member force. As a reminder, our police force is on the smaller side of sworn personnel compared to other villages in Westchester County. The average number of sworn officers among 14 village police departments is 23. Many of these villages are also smaller in square miles; the two villages larger than Croton, Briarcliff and Sleepy Hollow, have 22 and 26 sworn officers, respectively. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this appointment. Thank you. Mayor Brian Pugh Trustees Ann Gallelli Sherry Horowitz Len Simon Village Manager Bryan T.
