Superintendent for Business Re: Recommendation for Bid Award: Base Bid + Alternates 1 and 2 District-Wide Capital Improvements Phase 2 SED Project Number: 66-02-02-03-0-002-032 In consideration of available project funding and completion of the competitive bid process for all Phase 2 projects, KG+D Architects recommends that the District consider award of Alternate #1 and Alternate #3 for the HVAC improvement project at Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School. Alternate #1 is for the installation of a direct expansion (DX) cooling coil in an existing air handler to provide additional air conditioning. Alternate #3 is upgrade of the electrical power on the fourth floor to provide the necessary infrastructure for HVAC improvements in the future. KG+D Architects previously completed post-bid review of this work with Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. as outlined in our award recommendation letter of June 10. 2026. Clean Air Quality Services, Inc. remains the apparent low-bidder with the inclusion of Alternates #1 and #3.
