Fonda Mathew Visscher f ( Hugh Mitchell Daniel Campbell and James Ellice having been cited to appear before the Board in Consequence of the Act of the Legislature of this State entitled An Act to amend an Act more effectually to prevent the Mischeifs arising from the Influence Sc Example of Persons of equivocal & suspected Characters in this State by which the Commissioners for Conspiracies are authorized to administer the Oath of Allegiance in the said Act contained to those Persons who after refusing have offered to take the same, and the said Daniel Campbell & James Ellice appearing this Day according to order and the saidOath being tendered to them they respectively took the same resolved that Certificates be [49] given to the said Daniel Campbell and James Ellice of their having taken the above mentioned Oath -- Resolved that the Secretary pay to John 5 Lansing 2 £151 ,, 4 „ o for Bread provided for the State Prisoners. Nehemiah Sealy appeared before the Board & accused 1779 May 19. Duncan M'Conelly who is now confined in Goal with having spoken disrespectfully of the Congress of the United States of America and making use of other Expressions reflecting the greatest Contempt on the American Cause and the said Information being reduced to writing ordered that the same be Filed.
