The Waterfront Advisory Committee recommended on September 16, 2025 that proposed drainage improvements along Brook Street and Terrace Place were consistent with Croton’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program. The recommendation passed 3–0; it was a waterfront-plan review, not a construction contract award.

Village Manager Bryan Healy reported years of complaints about flooding on Brook Street. The proposal called for new storm-drainage routes, catch basins and pipes to divert water through properties along and beneath the street, with the aim of reducing flooding on residential and commercial properties.
The committee amended the Coastal Assessment Form so that Section C, Part 4(p) would indicate that best-management practices would control runoff into coastal waters. Stuart Greenbaum moved acceptance of the amended form and the consistency recommendation, with Leo Wiegman seconding. Each motion carried 3–0.
A second referral concerned New York State Department of Transportation work to clean or wash bridges and seal decks to remove debris and protect against corrosive substances. The committee did not anticipate potentially significant adverse effects on coastal resources and recommended consistency 3–0. It also noted that the Welcher Avenue project was outside Croton.
Chair Len Simon, Greenbaum and Wiegman participated, with Wiegman joining by speakerphone; Steve Krisky and Cara Politi were absent. The committee approved its August 12 minutes 3–0 and adjourned at 4:49 p.m. The September 16 minutes were approved on October 14, 2025, as recorded in the final document.
