Quarterly Report PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT Fiscal Year 2025/2026 First Quarter: June 1, 2025 – August 31, 2025 Highway • Repaired 3 catch basins • Weekly asphalt maintenance (potholes and water patches) • Trimmed approximately 15 trees • Removed 12 trees (including grinding leftover stumps) • Cleaned approximately 20 catch basins Sanitation: • Collected approximately 900 tons of refuse • Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling • Collected approximately 116 tons of organic waste Building Maintenance: • Street light repairs and painted poles • Replaced various signage throughout Village • Assist in EMS addition • Line striped MTA Parking Lot, Municipal Bldg. Lot, stop bars/crosswalks • Finished Silver Lake renovation • Installed new door for PD Lieutenant Office • Replaced HVAC at Grand Street Firehouse • Installed Purple Heart signs • Installed new blinds in yoga room – Municipal Bldg. • Refinished floors at Municipal Bldg. Water Department: • Meter reading for water billing • Flushed hydrants • Maintenance to pumps and motors • Plumbing work at Municipal Place building • Responded to 141 code 53-mark outs • Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County • Assist DPW on low staff days • Completed monthly water sampling • Replaced 84 non-working water meters • Chemical deliveries • Painted Hydrants • Helped with irrigation systems • Site visits for: FIOS – Beekman Ave & Georgia Lane, CON ED – Albany Post Road, Cleveland Drive, Kuney Street, Batten Road, Elm Street, CHHS – OPRS, PVC – Glen Place • 2” tap for sprinkler system – Morningside Drive • Fixed damage issues at Silver Lake Department of Public Works Quarterly Report • Maintenance/Repairs to Chlorine systems • Started process of having schools and county update their meters • D & M and Westchester County installed new pole – electric service – assist as needed • Service to generators • Turn water on Silver Lake (fix shower) • Fix water fountain at Croton Landing • Update CMP for WCDOH • Work on load service, line inventory list • Annual Sanitary Survey WCDOH • Fixed 5 curb boxes • Issue with Well #4 – motor sent to shop for repair Parks Department: • Continue removing debris and leaves from Village Parks and Playgrounds • Continued mowing of lawns/field in all Village parks • Litter removal in Village parks and fields • Maintenance of Village ballfields Repair Facility: • Maintenance on all Village vehicles • Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles • Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance Capital Projects: • Continued the design process for the Half Mon Bay Bridge project • Working towards approval for Cleveland resurfacing grant • Completed exterior framing for new EMS building including set bar joists, poured second floor slab, roof bar joist and metal decking • Completed exterior walls and roof for new EMS building • Posted the Farrington steps project for public bid • Continued working on design of renovations/addition to the Gouveia property to accommodate new Recreation Department • Installed Rapid Flashing Crosswalk on Rt 129 by Wood Road • Exterior brick installed, sheetrock, windows, mechanical rough ins complete on new EMS addition • New sidewalks dead end of Thompson and Whelan Avenue • Installed pads for new E bike program • Installed clock at Maple Commons • Completed Gotwald Circle project with landscaping
