This project is slated to require state and federal permitting. The project is located in the Town of Cortlandt and the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County. The project contract administrator is Westchester County. A regional project location map is enclosed for your reference. Project Coordinates NAD 27: N 41°12'43.02" W 73°53'8.71" The goal of the overall project is to provide a safer crossing for vehicles and pedestrians. The bridge will be updated to current design standards. The project proposes the construction of a new bridge, in addition to roadway approach improvements. At this time we request that your office provide us with any permits/consistency forms that will be required for the proposed project or a coastal consistency determination, since the project will be state and federally permitted and occurs within the village’s LWRP. Coordination/Permitting with the New York State Department of State, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), New York State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), New York Natural Heritage Program (NYNHP) and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will occur as a part of this project.
