In the Matter of the Granting of a Cable Television Franchise to Verizon New York Inc. in the
Village of Croton-on-Hudson, County of Westchester, New York
RESOLUTION #78-2026
______________________________________________________________________________
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Croton-on-Hudson,
New York, held at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, in Croton-on-Hudson, New
York, in said Village, on the 22nd day of April, 2026, at 7:00 o’clock P.M., Prevailing Time.
The meeting was called to order by ___________, and upon roll being called, the following were:
PRESENT:
ABSENT:
The following resolution was offered by Trustee ___________ and seconded by Trustee
__________ to wit:
Franchise Agreement with Verizon New York, Inc.
WHERAS, the Village has negotiated and reviewed a propose cable television Franchise
Agreement with Verizon New York, Inc., and
WHERAS, the Board of Trustees has considered and reviewed the proposed agreement and
determined that the Franchise Agreement is in the best interests of the Village in that it gives
Village residents competitive options for cable television services; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 22, 2026, to obtain input from interested people
on the proposed Franchise Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Franchise Agreement s hall become effective on the date that the New York State
Public Service Commission issues a Certificate of Confirmation of the franchise; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Franchise Agreement have been negotiated between the Village and
Verizon and are determined to be fair and equitable and acceptable to the Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village enters into a Franchise Agreement
with Verizon New York, Inc., for the provision of cable television service and that the Village
Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute said cable Franchise Agreement in a form to be
approved by special counsel to the Village.
The question of the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly put to a vote on roll call, which
resulted as follows:
The Resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted.
IN WITENESS WHEREOF, I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of the Incorporated
Village of Croton-on-Hudson this 22nd day of April, 2026.
