Quarterly Report PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT Fiscal Year 2021/2022 Third Quarter: December 1, 2021 – February 28, 2022 Highway • Cleared approximately 20 inches of snow, and .6 inches of ice during 15 winter events • Swept 80 miles of roadway • Completed the leaf removal program throughout the Village • Removed and replaced banners for various Village events • Supplied equipment/materials for Eagle Fest • Removed fall lights and installed holiday lights throughout the Village • Cleaned out 12 catch basins • Repaired 2 catch basins • Weekly asphalt maintenance (potholes and water patches) • Striped parking spots located on North Riverside Avenue • Clean up of brush and dead trees on Gouveia property • Trimmed approximately 20 trees • Removed 5 trees • Grinding of stumps left over from trees that were removed Sanitation: • Collected approximately 795 tons of refuse • Collected approximately 540 tons of organic waste • Collected approximately 11 tons of metal and electronic waste • Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling Building Maintenance: • Continued work on the Police Department renovations • Weekly maintenance and cleaning of Nordica pump station • Preventative maintenance for all Village generators Water Department: • Repaired hydrant at 1280 Albany Post Road • Responded to 6 water leaks throughout the Village • Responded to 79 code-53-mark outs • Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County • Updated comprehensive monitoring plan for WCDOH • Repaired chlorine system at Well #3 and Well #1 • VFD installation at UNHBPS • Continued fluoridone sampling at Village wells • NYSDEC water withdrawal report • Backflow paperwork for renewing operation of devices • Certified Village emergency response plan Department of Public Works Quarterly Report Parks Department: • Litter removal in Village parks and fields • Winter preparation of Village Fields and parks • Assist with DPW snow removal operations Repair Facility: • Emergency plow and salt spreader repairs throughout the season • Repaired rear axle in front line salt truck • Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles • Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance • Repair of sanitation vehicles • Repaired Village street sweeper and placed back into service Capital Projects: • Assisted with Washington Engine solar panel RFP • Review and final comments on Nordica Drive sanitary sewer pump station project • Review and comment on DPW facility water filtration system • Continues with the design and construction of the Village Police Department • Review and comments on Half Moon Bay Bridge reconstruction
