Quarterly Report PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT Fiscal Year 2022/2023 First Quarter: June 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022 Highway • Completed drainage improvements on Jacoby Street • Roadway improvements to redirect stormwater on Sunset Trail • Constructed and landscaped the flagpole at Croton Landing and Senasqua Park • Constructed Bocce courts at Black Rock Park • Swept 145 miles of roadway • Installed planters at Dummy Light intersection • Installation of new Village sign/display area at Croton Point Avenue • Outfall Inspections performed in-house • Cleaned out 22 catch basins • Repaired 8 catch basins • Continued weekly yard waste pickup • Cleaned, swept, and trimmed trees at the Train Station parking • Striped crosswalks and parking spots within the Village • Trimmed approximately 40 trees • Removed 8 trees • Cleaned and jetted 15 miles of sanitary sewer system • Grinding of stumps left over from trees that were removed • Televised inspection of sanitary sewer lines ahead of resurfacing program Sanitation: • Collected approximately 850 tons of refuse • Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling Building Maintenance: • Installation of new carpet in the main offices at the Municipal Building • Repair and rehabilitation of Senasqua Bath House • Weekly maintenance and cleaning of Nordica pump station • Regular maintenance of all Village Firehouses • Renovation of Village Salt Shed • Replacement of roof at the Silver Lake pavilion • Performed in-house work for the renovation of the Police Department Water Department: • Replaced two hydrants (Lower North Highland and Cleveland Drive) • Repaired hydrant on Arrowcrest • Repair valve at Municipal Place yard • Plumbing work at Silver Lake • Westchester County Health Department inspection • Semi-annual lead and copper samples • Responded to 161 code 53 mark outs • Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County • Worked with the design engineer on the Water Tank replacement project Department of Public Works Quarterly Report • Mag Meter / Flow meter calibrations • Repair curb box at 2 Hughes Street • Plumbing work at Dobbs and Duck Pond Fountain • Tap on Nordica Drive • Tap on Wells Avenue Parks Department: • Continued mowing of lawns/field in all Village parks • Litter removal in Village parks and fields • Assistance with Village entertainment programs at Senasqua • Assisted with Village Arts Festival at Senasqua Repair Facility: • Preparing all necessary vehicles and equipment for the upcoming leaf season • Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles • Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance • Purchase of new vehicles and equipment approved during the past budget cycle • Auctioned 8 DPW vehicles for surplus. Funds to be used for replacement and equipment Capital Projects: • Secured materials and contractors for the emergency renovation of Nordica Pump Station • Continue discussions with contractor for Train Station Parking Lot solar project • Finalized plans for the Grand Street Firehouse structural improvements • Continued the in-house renovation of the Police Department • Started communication with Metro North regarding the Half Moon Bay Bridge replacement project • Continued with the plans and discussion for the addition at the Harmon Firehouse • Continued with the proposed improvements at Gotwald Circle
