Marisa Butin and Caedra Scott-Flaherty Daisy Troop #1240 Co-Leaders crotontroop01240@gmail.com Board of Education Croton-Harmon Schools 10 Gerstein Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY Dear Members of the Board of Education, On behalf of the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson Croton Service Unit, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, we are writing to request the use of school and district facilities for our events with the waiver of associated fees. Previously, our organization has been lucky to use the facilities at CET after school for troop meetings throughout the year. Our mission is to help Girl Scouts form friendships, learn new things, become role models and leaders in their communities, to also give back to their community, and to have fun while doing all of the above. Holding meetings at CET after school ensures that all Girl Scouts, including those with working parents who cannot transport them to meetings, can easily attend troop meetings. Waiving the usage fees for district facilities will enable us to allocate our resources more effectively towards these initiatives, ensuring that we continue to provide valuable experiences for our Girl Scout community.
