WARD, Sarah Sarah Ward told John Macdonald that she was born in 1772. She is listed as a 78-year-old resident of the Town of New Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone in the Chappaqua Friends Meeting House Cemetery in Chappaqua, New York, indicates that her full name was Sarah Haight Ward, and that she died on January 30, 1860, aged 88 years and 8 months (WCHS Book #54, p.49). WASHBURN, Samuel John Macdonald indicated that Samuel Washburn was 87 years old at the time of his interview on November 6, 1849. He is listed as an 87-year-old farmer in the Town of Mount Pleasant, New York, in the 1850 United States Census.
