Quarterly Report PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Second Quarter: September 1, 2025 – November 30, 2025 Highway • Repaired 4 catch basins • Weekly asphalt maintenance (potholes and water patches) • Trimmed approximately 20 trees • Removed 15 trees (including grinding leftover stumps) • Planted 24 trees throughout the Village • Sewer Jetting throughout the Village Sanitation: • Collected approximately 870 tons of refuse • Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling • Collected approximately 200 tons of organic waste Building Maintenance: • Street light repairs and painted poles • Replaced various signage throughout Village • Assist in EMS addition • HVAC – Installed new mini split HVAC in Municipal Building Office • Installed new cross walk signs on Benedict Blvd • Supervised contractor that replaced railing on path to Ossining Water Department: • Meter reading for water billing • Flushed hydrants • Maintenance to pumps and motors • Plumbing work at Firehouses • Responded to 128 code 53-mark outs • Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County • Assist DPW on low staff days • Completed monthly water sampling • Replaced 93 non-working water meters • Issues with service lines at Old Post Road No/Finney Farm Rd (map out and correct) • Helped with irrigation systems • Site visits for: FIOS – Georgia Lane, CON ED – Batten Road, PVC – Glen Place • Work on Upper North Highland tank rehab/replacement project • Maintenance/Repairs to Chlorine systems • Work on Lounsbury relining project • Shut down seasonal waters • Continue process of having schools and county update their meters • Service to generators • Work on lead service, line inventory list Department of Public Works Quarterly Report • Fixed 7 curb boxes • Issue with Well #4 – motor sent to shop for repair (motor rebuilt and put back in service) • Repairs to water main on Gerstein Parks Department: • Continue removing debris and leaves from Village Parks and Playgrounds • Continued mowing of lawns/field in all Village parks • Litter removal in Village parks and fields • Maintenance of Village ballfields Repair Facility: • Maintenance on all Village vehicles • Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles • Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance Capital Projects: • Continued the design process for the Half Mon Bay Bridge project • Working towards approval for Cleveland resurfacing grant • Completed exterior walls and roof for new EMS building • Continued working on design of renovations/addition to the Gouveia property to accommodate new Recreation Department • EMS – Sheetrock, tape, spackle interior. Exterior doors installed. Finishes started throughout building • Began construction of new parking lot at Washington Engine • Added sidewalks at 61 Elmore Avenue and Darby Avenue • EMS – started concrete apron and sidewalk outside building
