Quarterly Report PUBLIC WORKS QUARTERLY REPORT Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Fourth Quarter: March 1, 2025 – May 31, 2025 Highway • Installed Veterans banners, summer banners and flags • Repaired 5 catch basins • Weekly asphalt maintenance (potholes and water patches) • Trimmed approximately 30 trees • Removed 8 trees (including grinding leftover stumps) • Cleaned approximately 50 catch basins Sanitation: • Collected approximately 578 tons of refuse • Weekly collection of Village co-mingled, paper and metal recycling • Collected approximately 122 tons of organic waste Building Maintenance: • Street light repairs • Replaced various signage throughout Village • Assist in EMS addition • Line striped MTA Parking Lot • Finished Silver Lake renovation Water Department: • Meter reading for water billing • Flushed hydrants • Maintenance to pumps and motors • Plumbing work at Municipal Place building • Responded to 161 code 53-mark outs • Submission of monthly reports to Westchester County • Assist DPW on low staff days • Completed monthly water sampling • Replaced 42 non-working water meters • Chemical deliveries • Repaired 5 leaks • Turned on seasonal waters • Analyzers serviced • Work on AWQR • Painted Hydrants • New insertion valves installed on OPRS for high school work • Helped with irrigation systems, fixed plumbing at Senasqua • NYSDEC Water Withdrawal Report • Cathodic Protection System turned on at unit above ground tank • Annual Water Leak Survey Department of Public Works Quarterly Report • Site visits for: FIOS – Beekman Ave, CON ED – Albany Post Road, CHHS - OPRS Parks Department: • Continue removing debris and leaves from Village Parks and Playgrounds • Continued mowing of lawns/field in all Village parks • Litter removal in Village parks and fields • Maintenance of Village ballfields Repair Facility: • Maintenance on all Village vehicles • Weekly inspection and maintenance of all police vehicles • Assist Fire Department with vehicle maintenance Capital Projects: • Continued the design process for the Half Mon Bay Bridge project • Working towards approval for Cleveland resurfacing grant • Completed exterior framing for new EMS building including set bar joists, poured second floor slab, roof bar joist and metal decking • Completed exterior walls and roof for new EMS building • Posted the Farrington steps project for public bid • Continued working on design of renovations/addition to the Gouveia property to accommodate new Recreation Department • Completed drainage improvements at Manes Field
