The Recreation and Parks Department Quarterly Report-June, July & August 2024 MISSION STATEMENT It is the mission of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Recreation Department: to create and maintain aesthetically pleasing, safe, healthful, and enjoyable areas for residents; to provide positive, cost effective leisure opportunities which promote individual and community wellness for children, youth, adults and seniors; to promote the preservation and appropriate utilization of the Village’s recreational resources. The Recreation Department provides and plans for year round classes, programs and special events. Some of the highlights for this quarter were: -Concerts (8) at Senasqua Park. -Held over 43 classes/programs and special events -Day Camp had strong numbers in all 3 sessions as did Tiny Tots. -Held 6 family entertainment (5 at night & 1 during the day). -Held 3 Outdoor Movies at Senasqua Park -Sold out the Canoe/Kayak storage (72 spaces) at Echo Canoe launch. Senior Programing -Senior club met regularly at the Municipal Building and at Senasqua Pavilion -Held 6 classes/programs with 90 participants. -Had 2 trips, 1 Local Explorer and 1 charter bus with 60 participants For a full description/list of summer programs please refer to our Brochure.
