The McDonald Interviews: Interviewees TRIPP, Abigail Abigail Platt Tripp was a daughter of Captain Benoni Platt, who served as an officer in the Westchester County Militia, and was the wife of Benjamin Tripp. John Macdonald indicated that she was 88 years old at the time of her interview on October 27, 1848. She is listed as a 90-year-old resident of the Town of North Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone in the North Castle Quaker Cemetery in North Castle indicates that she died on April 1, 1856, aged 95 years, 4 months, and 29 days (WCHS Book #23A, p.20). TUTTLE, Elizabeth Elizabeth Archer Tuttle was a sister of interviewees Samuel Archer and William Archer. UNDERHILL, Sophia Sophia Haight Underhill was a daughter of Samuel Haight and Rebecca Fowler, and was the wife of Jesse Underhill (son of Jacob Underhill and Amy Hallock).
John Macdonald indicated that she was 83 years old at the time of her interview on October 16, 1848. According to genealogist Josephine C. She is listed as a 78-year-old resident of the Town of Somers, New York, in the 1850 United States Census.
