§ 132-1. Title. This chapter shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York." § 132-2. Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated: AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION — An authorized organization as defined in Subdivision 4 of § 1 of the General Municipal Law. GAME OF CHANCE — A game of chance as defined in Subdivision 3 of § 1 of the General Municipal Law. VILLAGE — The Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York. § 132-3. License required; compliance with regulations; fee. [Amended 7-5-2022 by L.L. No. 8-2022] Authorized organizations may, upon the obtainment of a license from the Clerk of the Village of Croton- on-Hudson, conduct games of chance within the Village of Croton-on-Hudson as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and as provided further in this chapter. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with the general state law and with the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter. The license shall require the payment of a fee in an amount set by resolution of the Board of Trustees. § 132-4. Enforcing official. The chief law enforcement officer, the Chief of Police, shall exercise control over and supervision of all games of chance conducted under an appropriately issued license. Such officer shall have all those powers and duties set forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law. 51. Editor's Note: This local law was approved at referendum 3-16-1977.
