BUCKOUT, ____ (Mr.)

John Macdonald did not provide the first name of Mr. Buckout, whom he indicated was a resident of Morrisania. He may be Jacob Buckout who is listed as a 65-year-old farmer in the Town of West Farms, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. (Morrisania was part of the Town of West Farms from 1846-1855.) A petition for probate for Jacob Buckout of West Farms was filed with the Westchester County Surrogate's Court on May 12, 1865 (Westchester County Wills Liber 50, p.392).
