Anna Reynolds Hobby was the widow of David Hobby, Jr. (1769-1829). She is listed as "Ann Hobby," a 78-year-old resident of the Town or North Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone in Middle Patent Rural Cemetery in North Castle indicates that she died on January 6, 1852, aged 79 years and 10 months (WCHS Book #23, p.86).

John Macdonald indicated that Enos Hobby was 88 years at the time of his interview on November 3, 1848, and 89 years old at the time of his interview on November 5, 1849. Hobby himself indicated that he would turn 90 on January 12, 1850. He is listed as an 89- year-old resident of the Town or North Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. His tombstone in Middle Patent Rural Cemetery in North Castle indicates that he died on January 1, 1857, aged 95 years, 11 months, and 19 days (WCHS Book 23A, p.75).
