LYON, Samuel (or Yonkers) Samuel Lyon served in the Westchester County Militia during the Revolutionary War. He is listed as an 85-year-old farmer in the Town of Yonkers, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. His tombstone in Saint John's Cemetery in Yonkers indicates that he died on January 27, 1856, aged 92 years and 20 days (WCHS Book #96, p. 90).

MANDEVILLE, James James Mandeville's tombstone in Saint Peter's Cemetery (Old Van Cortlandtville Cemetery) in Van Cortlandtville, New York, indicates that he died on December 21, 1848, aged 88 years, 4 months, and 27 days (WCHS Book #28A, p. 10).

MCGOWAN, ____ (Mrs. Benson) Mrs. Benson McGowan is likely Margaret Benson McGowan (also spelled McGown, 1766-1851). She was the wife of Andrew McGowan (1745-1820), who with his mother, Catharine, ran the Black Horse Tavern at what is known as McGowan's Pass in present-day Central Park in Manhattan. She is listed as "Mary McGowan," an 84-year-old resident of the 19th Ward in New York City in the 1850 United States Census. MCLEAN, Donald Donald McLean is listed as Donald McLeane, an 80-year-old native of Scotland residing in the 16th Ward or New York City in the 1850 United States Census. He is listed as an 84-year-old farmer in the Town of New Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. His tombstone in White Plains, New York, on June 10, 1861, "having nearly completed the 3rd year of his age," appeared in the New York Commercial Advertiser on June 13, 1861.
