MERRILL, Lott Lott Merritt is listed as a 73-year-old farmer in the Town of Rye, New York, in the 1850 United States census. His tombstone in the Blind Brook Burial Ground (Milton Cemetery) in Rye, New York, indicates that he died on September 18, 1854, aged 77 years, 8 months, and 16 days (WCHS Book #18, p.56).

MERRILL, Rebecca Bush Rebecca Bush Merritt was the widow of Daniel Merritt (1764-1836). She is listed as an 84-year-old resident of the Town of Rye, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye indicates that she was born on January 20, 1766, and died on August 27, 1855 (WCHS Book #17, p.83).

MERRILL, Robert Robert Merritt told John Macdonald that he was in his 78th year at the time of his interview on December 6, 1848. He is listed as a 79-year-old farmer in the Town of Rye, New York, in the 1850 United States Census.
