She told John Macdonald that she would turn 92 years old in May 1848. She is listed as "Susannah Vredenburgh," a 94-year-old resident of the Town of Yonkers, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone of Susan Vredenburgh in Saint Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Mount Vernon, New York, indicates that she died on July 20, 1854, aged 98 years, 2 months, and 17 days (WCHS Book #13, Volume 3, p. 336).

WARD, Sarah Sarah Ward told John Macdonald that she was born in 1772. She is listed as a 78-year-old resident of the Town of New Castle, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. Her tombstone in the Chappaqua Friends Meeting House Cemetery in Chappaqua, New York, indicates that her full name was Sarah Haight Ward, and that she died on January 30, 1860, aged 88 years and 6 months (WCHS Book #54, p. 49).

WASHBURN, Samuel John Macdonald indicated that Samuel Washburn was 87 years old at the time of his interview on November 6, 1849. He is listed as an 87-year-old farmer in the Town of Mount Pleasant, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. A petition for probate for Samuel Washburn was filed with the Westchester County Surrogate's Court on April 21, 1855 (Westchester County Wills Liber 36, p. 533).

WEBB, Betsey (Mrs. Webb) Betsey Webb was referred to as "Mrs. Webb (born Pell)" in her interview of September 5, 1844. She is listed as "Betsy Webb," a 65-year-old resident of the Town of Pelham, New York, in the 1850 United States Census. The tombstone of Betsey Webb in the Ferris Family Burial Ground in Bronx, New York, indicates that she died on May 19, 1860, aged 73 years, 5 months, and 9 days (WCHS Book #17, p. 53).
